Lawrence X. Webb, M.D., Professor
Dr. Lawrence X. Webb serves Wake Forest University Medical Center as Associate Chief of Staff. He is the Director of Orthopaedic Trauma and the Director of the Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship. He continues to be actively involved in research and has an interest in musculoskeletal infection. Dr Webb's curriculum vita is replete with authored papers and book chapters in the fields of biomaterials and infection, as well as orthopaedic trauma.

David F. Williams, D.Sc., FREng., Professor and Director of International Affairs
David Williams was trained as a materials scientist and has 40 years experience in the medical device/tissue engineering fields, all at the University of Liverpool, UK, where he has been Head of Clinical Engineering and Director, UK Centre for Tissue Engineering, and is now Emeritus Professor. Gil Yosipovitch, M.D., Associate Professor
Gil Yosipovitch, M.D., joined the faculty of Wake Forest in 2002.His research is focused on assessing mechanisms of itch both peripherally as well as centrally using brain imaging techniques such as fMRI and PET and quantitative sensory testing devices, as well as assessing non-invasively skin neurogenic inflammation and autonomic function with skin blood flow imagers and heart rate variability devices.

Yuanyuan Zhang, M.D., Ph.D., Assistant Professor
Dr. Zhang received his M.S. and M.D. in Jiangxi Medical College in China. He co mpleted his residency in urology and renal transplantation at the same medical institution and was a certified urologist in China. Following this, he completed a two-year research fellowship awarded from the International Society of Nephrology and trained in the Department of Urology/Nephrology at Christchurch Hospital in New Zealand. Terri Bowen, Administrative Assistant
Ms. Bowen came to the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine in August of 2005 from the airline industry, with over 22 years of diverse administrative experience. She is responsible for the day to day administrative functions of the department. She coordinates the work flow of the administrative staff to ensure all project deadlines are completed on time, in keeping with departmental guidelines.

Tom B. Clarkson, M.S., Director of Planning and Business Development
Mr. Clarkson is responsible for assisting in setting institute project priorities, developing commercialization pathways for institute technology, and developing collaborative industry relations through the Industry Participation Program. Mark Furth, Ph.D., Technical Development Officer
Dr. Mark Furth became fascinated by stem cells during high school summer projects at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. He received his B.A. from Harvard University and his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He did postdoctoral research on novel stem cell antigens with Sydney Brenner at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK, and on oncogenes with Edward Scolnick at the National Cancer Institute. Anne Immekus, Director of Development
As director of development for the Institute, Anne Immekus is responsible for directing and further developing the philanthropic giving program, which includes identifying and working with donors and prospective donors to achieve their charitable giving goals. She is also the staff liaison to the Institute’s Philanthropic Advisory Board.  Anne has worked in health care for more than 25 years, at both community hospitals and academic medical centers. More…

Ms. Montgomery serves as Administrative Manager and manages the four direct reports in the department of Urology and at the Institute for Regenerative Medicine.
